Celebrating Small Businesses
November 30, 2019, was the 10th annual shop Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is now an official shopping day, nestled right in between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and exactly one month before Christmas. Founded by American Express in 2010, this nationwide movement helps bring attention to the importance of supporting small businesses in communities across America.
Helping Communities Thrive
Small businesses play a major role in feeding our local communities and local economy, preserving neighborhoods, and providing a place where neighbors can meet neighbors. Small business owners are innovators and job creators. They’re creating the places that are unique to our communities and that make you happy to live where you live.
Show Your Support
One small purchase at your local small business can make a huge impact. By shopping at your local small businesses, you know where your money is going and that support helps your community grow. Rally around the local merchants on Small Business Saturday- the ones that know you by name, the ones who have turned empty buildings into friendly faces, and the ones who shape your community.
Your support keeps small businesses strong. While you begin your next Christmas shopping season, On Saturday, November 28, 2020, join the movement and shop small! Go to the local boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, or your locally owned and operated Do it Best hardware stores in your community and enjoy some incentives and discounts during this holiday season.
